Arunachal Pradesh: Two Assam Rifles soldiers killed in encounter with terrorists

Two soldiers from the Assam Rifles lost their lives today in an encounter with terrorists belonging to the National Socialist Council of Nagaland - Khaplang NSCN (K) near Jairampur in Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh.

There was a heavy exchange of gunfire between the two groups and multiple grenades were also blasted by (NSCN-K).

A Toyota Fortuner bearing no. AS06L 0033 was damaged in the blast. None of the passengers were injured.

Further details of encounter casualties are awaited.
