Ravichandran Ashwin continued to be nuisance with his bowling, picking up four wickets on the final day of the lone test between India and Bangladesh, with the hosts at 219-7 at tea in a match that is heading towards a draw.
Bangladesh started the day at 111-3 and lost Shakib al Hasan in the third over of the day.
Imrul Kayes continued to motor along and was well supported by Soumya Sarkar, the two sharing a 51 run partnership. However, both batsmen departed in successive overs. Litton Das, who is still at the crease at 38, played some eye-catching shots and took the hosts closer to the
follow-on score. Shuvugata Hom, who was prodding and blocking, was sent back by
Ashwin for nine.
Bangladesh need 44 more runs to avoid the follow-on and would be looking to make the runs as quickly as possible, thus debarring India from any outside chance of winning.
