The world famous Tulip Garden was opened for the tourists on Wednesday almost two weeks ahead of schedule as the Valley experienced a warm temperature leading to earlier blooming of the flowers.
The authorities are expecting that the colorful flowers of the garden would attract thousands of visitors this year.
"It's a very beautiful tulip garden. There are tulips of many colours like red, purple, black. We are hopeful that many tourists will arrive this year," said a garden authority.
The tourism sector in the state has prospered in the last nine years courtesy the tulip garden as tourists visit the place in large numbers.
"There are beautiful flowers. We are delighted to see the flowers. Many visitors will gradually arrive here," said one of the visitors.
Presently, a large number of workers, including gardeners and labourers, who are maintaining the garden under the supervision of floriculture department experts are busy giving final touches so as to make the garden more beautiful for the tourists.
