State Congress president Anjan Dutta said that the committee has recommended expulsion of nine MLAs from the party owing to their anti-party activities. He said that the party will take a formal decision of their expulsion soon.

According to reports, among the nine legislators, four MLAs Pradan Baruah, Jayanta Malla Baruah, Piyush Hazarika and Pallab Lochan Das were suspended from Congress for six years on August 30.
