Senior BJP leaders have credited the party's strong performance in the Assembly elections to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership skills and good governance.
The BJP is inching towards forming the government on its own in Haryana, but falling short of majority in Maharashtra and is leading in 120 seats. Celebrations have already started at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi.
"PM Modi symbolizes good governance and honest leadership, that's why people have imposed faith. I would say that the politics of India has changed forever. Now India is voting for good governance and progress," Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar told ANI.
BJP leader M J Akbar also told ANI, "Narendra Modiji ke jaadu par jinhe vishwas nahi tha, ab to ho gya na? (Those people who doubted Narendra Modi's magic, will now have to believe in it)"
BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain also added, "People of Haryana and Maharashtra have given more than we expected, it's a huge victory."
"People of both states want to be free from dynasty politics, we'll get full majority," said BJP leader Bijay Shastri.
Another BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya also added that the credit goes for this performance goes to Prime Minister Narednra Modi's leadership and party president Amit Shah's organisational skills.
