Celebrations have already begun outside the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters here, as early trends indicated that the BJP is maintaining vote counting leads in both Haryana and Maharashtra.

Early trends show that BJP is leading in 45 seats in Haryana and 98 in Maharashtra.

"People have seen Modiji has done what he has said, I thank the people of Haryana and Maharashtra," BJP leader Anurag Thakur told ANI.

Another BJP leader Kishan Pal Gujjar also credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the expected win for the party in the state of Haryana.

"People of Haryana wanted an honest government, credit goes to our 'Karmyogi' PM," said Gujjar, the BJP MP from Faridabad.

Party spokesperson M J Akbar said, "Narendra Modiji ke jaadu par jinhe vishwas nahi tha, ab to ho gya na? (Those people who doubted Narendra Modi's magic, will now have to believe in it?)"

Trends have indicated that the BJP is all set to cross the half-way mark in both Haryana and Maharashtra, and it may form a government with help from the Shiv Sena in the latter.
