Equating Prime Minister Narendra Modi lashing out at the grand old party with his frustration, the Congress on Thursday asserted that the former is aware of losing the people's support, and his disappointment reflects in his recent outbursts.

"The Prime Minister has not been able to fulfill any of the promises he made to the country. So when people ask him about these things, he gets upset," Congress leader Oscar Fernandes told ANI.

He added that with the elections going on in five states, the Prime Minister seems to be fully aware of the mood of the people and he is upset that the people are not supporting him.

"He is terribly disappointed and that can be seen from his reactions," he added.

Accusing the Congress government in Uttarakhand of having no vision for growth, Prime Minister Modi earlier asked people to vote out the ruling party and give Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) a chance to ensure new heights of development in the next five years.

"Have you ever thought why despite having such great potential Uttarakhand has lagged behind Chattisgarh and Jharkhand which were created together by Atal Bihari Vajpayee? In spite of the Maoist problem, Chattisgargh with a BJP government has established itself among the fastest growing states," he told a poll rally.

Claiming that the Congress government in the state was devoid of the vision to drive it on the path of development, he appealed to the people to vote overwhelmingly in support of BJP this time to change their fate.

Referring to a sting operation in which Chief Minister Harish Rawat was allegedly seen offering bribes to party MLAs for their support in a crucial floor-test in the Uttarakhand Assembly the Prime Minister said, "Those who cannot think well of the people here, how can they govern?".
