As per figures appearing on the Election Commission's website at 10.50 a.m. on Sunday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is leading in all four states where the counting of votes of recently held assembly polls is on.
Reports from Chhattisgarh indicated that out of 38 seats for which leads are in the BJP is leading in 20, while the Congress is leading in 16. The Bahujan Samaj Party and the Communist Party of India are leading in one seat each. Results are to be announced for 90 assembly constituencies.
In Delhi, the lead status of 67 out of 70 constituencies show the Bharatiya Janata Party leading in 29 29, the Congress in 13, the Indian National Lok Dal in one and the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in 24.
In Madhya Pradesh, the lead status known for 154 out of 230 constituencies indicates the Bharatiya Janata Party leading in 103, the Congress in 47, the Bahujan Samaj Party in two, the Akhil Bhartiya Gondwana Party in one and Independents in one.

In Rajasthan, the lead status known for 158 out of 200 constituencies indicates the Bharatiya Janata Party leading in 119 seats, the Congress in 21, the Bahujan Samaj Party in three, the National People's Party in six, the National Unionist Zamindara Party in three and Independents in six.

The counting of votes in four states began here this morning amidst tight security and elaborate arrangements made by the Election Commission.

In Madhya Pradesh, the fate of 2,583 candidates would be decided for 230 seats. Shivraj Singh Chauhan is fighting against a younger Minister of State for Power Jyotiraditya Scindia for chief minister's post in the state.
A close race is expected between the BJP and the Congress in Chhattisgarh. The fate of 843 candidates, including 75 women, will be decided for 90 assembly seats in the two-phase polls that look place on November 11 and November 19.
