A low-intensity blast at a shrine in Pakistan's capital, Islamabad, left at least 35 devotees injured.
According to the Dawn, the blast took place at a shrine in the Pandorian area during commemoration of the death anniversary of local Sufi saint Baba Nangay Shah.
While investigators suggest that an improvised explosive device (IED) was planted near a wall opposite the entrance to the shrine, it remains unclear as to how the IED was remote controlled.
Meanwhile, eight victims out of the 35 injured are said to be in critical condition with no deaths reported till late night.
The injured persons were reportedly taken to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences by rescue workers.
