At least two police officials killed in Karachi hand grenade attack

At least two police officials were killed and one wounded in a grenade attack in Pakistan's financial capital Karachi.

Unknown assailants threw a grenade at a police mobile van in Gul Plaza Market at M.A. Jinnah Road, killing two police personnel, Dawn reports.

After the grenade was hurled at the van, the vehicle caught fire and exploded.

Following the attack, a heavy contingent of Rangers and Police personnel were deployed to the site.

Investigations into the incident have already begun, the report said.
