Pakistan's Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) chief Atlaf Hussain said on Monday that he foresaw a martial law in the country under garb of constitution and urged people to avoid stepping outside home after midnight.

Hussain said in an interview that the country needs to sacrifice to safeguard political stability, reported the Dawn.

The MQM chief told his seniors members and parliamentarians to hold meetings with political and religious parties in the capital.

He also said political crisis escalated due to ego issues and that the protests would not have spread from Karachi to other parts.
