Fernando Torres and Antoine Griezmann scored a goal each to ensure Atletico Madrid conclude their La Liga campaign with a third spot finish following a victory against Celta Vigo at the Manzanares Stadium.

Last week's defeat against Levanta had dented Atletico's title hopes, but the Champions League finalists managed to round off their La Liga season on a high with a 2-0 home win, goal.com reported.

After a goalless first half, striker Torres netted his 11th goal of the season in the 51st minute to put his side ahead before midfielder Griezmann scored a header just three minutes later to win the match.

Celta Vigo have managed to qualify for the Europa League after finishing the La Liga tournament at the sixth spot.

Meanwhile, defending champions Barcelona have clinched this year's title after star striker Luis Saurez smashed a hat-trick during the side's 3-0 rout of Granada. They finished with a one-point lead over fierce rivals Real Madrid and three points clear of Atletico.

Atletico will now aim to clinch Champions League glory when they will take on Real Madrid on May 29.
