Cricket Australia (CA) is hoping to go ahead with their two-Test series of Bangladesh despite security and safety concerns.
According to Sport24, CA has sent its own security experts to Bangladesh to determine whether it is safe for the Australian team to go ahead with the planned tour.
Confirming the news, James Sutherland, the CA Chief Executive said that CA's security head Sean Carroll is on his way to Bangladesh and he will provide us with the necessary report after assessing the risk.
Sutherland added that Carroll's response regarding the security on the ground holds great importance at this particular point of time.
Speaking on the issue, Sutherland further said that they are hoping to carry on with the tour, but keeping in mind the security and safety of their players.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh Cricket Board Chief Executive Nizam Uddin Chowdhury has said that he absolutely understands Australia's concern, adding that the latter's safety is their priority.
Chowdhury further said that he is absolutely sure there would be no threat to the Australian team and the tour would go ahead as planned.
Earlier, CA had announced that it has postponed the tour of Bangladesh for two-match Test series due to security and safety concerns.
According to the original schedule, Australia are scheduled to play a three-day warm up game in Fatullah from October 3 before two Tests in Chittagong and Mirpur.
