Australian High Commissioner to India Harinder Sidhu on Friday wished India on the occasion of its 69-Republic Day.
Sidhu posted a video on twitter with her congratulatory message for both India and Australia.
"Australia and India have ties back dating the 18th century and continues to share a number of common connections. The 26th of January is a day of celebration and significance for both our countries."
"Today is the day where India is celebrating the 69th anniversary of its constitution coming into effect. It's also Australia Day, a day for acknowledging and celebrating the contribution of every Australian, no matter where our personal stories began. We come together to celebrate our nations, to celebrate our past and our future. Here is wishing you a very happy Australia Day and a happy Republic Day," she added.
