Just Jeans, retailer brand of Australia, is facing protests following its refusal to sign Bangladesh garment industry safety standards.
Protestors have demanded safe, transparent and sustainable garment industry and called for Just Jeans' factories to be checked by external agencies for failing to meet acceptable safety standards.
The Age reports that the Just Group, which includes several Australian brands, has so far declined to sign the Accord on Fire and Building Safety in Bangladesh.
According to the report, the group claims that its internal ethical policy is responsible for assessing safety conditions in their Bangladeshi factories.
