Famous American author Jackie Collins has passed away at 77 after battling with breast cancer.
In an official statement to E!Online, Collins family announced the death of their beloved mother, saying "she lived a wonderfully full life and was adored by her family and the millions of readers who she had been entertaining for over 4 decades."
They added that Jackie was a true inspiration and would live on through her characters but they already missed her beyond words.
Many celebrities paid tribute to the beloved author.
Television presenter Graham Norton expressed his grief on twitter, saying "I'm so very sad to hear about @jackiejcollins She was the definition of a class act. Everyone who met her was Lucky."

Sources have revealed that Jackie was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer six years ago but she chose to keep her illness to herself and her three daughters Tracy, Tiffany and Rory.
The Collins family has asked fans to consider making a donation to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Organisation in honor of Jackie.
