The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) on Sunday criticised the Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz, and said that statement made by him was bizarre and doesn't convey a positive message about expectations of the bilateral talks between the two nations.

"I somehow find it very bizarre and very shocking that you start with so much of euphoria, many call it out of box thinking. Now when the talks are scheduled for the next month, suddenly even before the talks happened, you start speaking the language of the cynic, it doesn't convey positive message about what we expect out of these talks. I think from both the sides, if they have decided to talk they should jettison cynicism that is what is required," RJD national spokesperson Manoj Jha told ANI here.

Sartaj Aziz on Saturday had said it would not be fair to expect much from the talks scheduled in Islamabad in January between the foreign secretaries of Pakistan and India.

Speaking to Radio Pakistan's Current Affairs programme about the possibility of peace between Pakistan and India, Aziz said it would not be fair to expect instant resolution of all issues between the two countries.
