Australian opener Chris Rogers was reportedly struck down by a back injury during the ongoing fourth and final Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground that saw him leaving the field and not returning for the rest of the third day.
Rogers' injury has thrown his participation in the remainder of the match in doubt, as the opener left the field early on Thursday complaining of back spasms, Sydney Morning Herald reported.
Rogers scored 95 runs on the opening day, but wasn't called upon again until after tea on day two following Australia's declaration at 572/7.
If Rogers doesn't return to play in the Sydney match, it would be a sad end for what he has said would likely be his last Test on home soil, as the batsman indicated that he would likely retire following this year's Ashes series in England, the report added.
