Former tennis champion John McEnroe wants umpires to be ditched completely in favour of video technology.

The US star believes that ditching umpires would make the game more interesting. McEnroe said that a match would get a whole edgier if players had no umpires but a challenge system where players draw their own lines.

He added that without umpires, players can challenge if they think that the opponent is cheating, the fans too could add more by expressing themselves more.

John Patrick McEnroe is a former World No. 1 professional tennis player from the United States. He won seven Grand Slam singles titles, nine Grand Slam men's doubles titles, and one Grand Slam mixed doubles title.
