Dubbing the Gurdaspur terror attack as "saddening," Punjab Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal on Monday congratulated the Punjab Police for fighting this big battle.
"The incident that happened today in Dinanagar is saddening. After so many years, it's the first time such incident took place in Punjab." Badal told the media here.
Expressing his praise for the police department, he added "we congratulate Punjab Police because they have fought a big battle today."
The Ministry of Home Affairs has said that the terrorists involved in the Gurdaspur terror attack, which has claimed the lives of several civilians and police personnel, are linked to terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba.
The ministry also confirmed the death of three civilians, four policemen and three militants in the attack.
