George Bailey, who has been dropped for next month's three-Test tour of South Africa due to a poor Ashes series, is determined to prove his theories about Test selection wrong.
Bailey averaged just 26.14 with the bat despite Australia's overall Ashes dominance.
The 31-year-old is a proven performer in 50-over cricket, but he has not been able to find his form in the longer form of the game.
After winning the ODI player of the year award, Bailey said he was hopeful to be part of the team for South Africa tour, and added that he couldn't find any fault in his contribution to his team's total during Ashes.
Captain Michael Clarke praised Bailey for his attitude and said the 31-year-old's contribution to the team shouldn't be underrated.
Bailey said his experience of Test cricket has left him feeling reinvigorated and he's determined to work his way back into the team, News.com.au reports.
