Baloch nationals on Wednesday staged a protest against atrocities laid by Pakistan on the residents of Balochistan outside United Nation head quarters, and also urged India to give shelter to its orphaned Baloch population.

Baloch National Movement (BNM) spokesperson Imtiaz Baloch said that there is huge refugee crisis in Balochistan.

"Baloch people have nowhere to live. Few are hiding out in Dubai few in Uganda. So India should allow our people to live in its land. There is a huge refugee crisis in Balochistan. People in huge numbers are homeless," said Imtiaz.

Imtiaz further urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to interfere and free Balochistan from the clutches of Pakistan.

"We are hoping that the Indian Government will help us because India plays a significant role in our region. It's the largest democracy and can help us in freeing Balochistan from the clutches of Pakistan," he said.

"I would like to request Prime Minister Narendra Modi, that for love of god, please intervene in this matter and free Balochistan from the clutches of Pakistan," he added.

The protestors took to the streets and denounced Pakistan.

"Today we are protesting against Pakistan for it violating human right in Balochistan. The way mass graves are being discovered in Balochistan. Around 20000 people have been abducted by Pakistan. We are protesting here to expose Pakistan, so that Islamabad frees Balochistan and withdraws its army from there," he said.
