Responding to the Bharatiya Janata Party's demand to ban Shiv Sena mouthpiece Saamna, the party chief Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday said the saffron party would not be seen next time if the newspaper gets banned.
"Just ban Saamna and see whether you will be seen next time," Thackeray said while addressing a rally here.
Earlier, a BJP functionary had written to the state Election Commission (EC) seeking a ban on Saamna, claiming it would "impress" voters even after campaigning for the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) polls ends.
The ban was sought for three days during the final stages of the civic body polls here.
Polling for the BMC elections will be held on February 21 and the results will be declared on February 23.
