Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) commanding officer, Chetan Cheeta, who was injured in Jammu and Kashmir's Bandipora encounter on Tuesday, responds to treatment at AIIMS trauma centre in New Delhi.
Chetan is currently on ventilator and under strict supervision. He also had acidosis, a medical term for increased acidity in blood and other body tissues.
Commandant of the 45 Battalion of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) sustained multiple gunshots during the gun battle.
He was later airlifted to AIIMS trauma centre.
As many as three army personnel were killed and seven others injured in an encounter that took place between militants and security forces in the Hajin area of Jammu and Kashmir's Bandipora.
