Bangalore Police on Monday arrested the fourth Indian Mujahideen (IM) suspect from Mangalore in connection with the Church Street blast case.
"He has been arrested and brought to Bangalore from the Bajpe Airport in Mangalore. His arrest has been done based on the information that we have collected from the accused whom we have already arrested in the explosives case," Police Commissioner M.N. Reddi said.
"The basis is that he has acted in tandem with one or two of the existing people in the whole process of procurement, fabrication and delivery of deadly explosives devices. In his personal place of dwelling etc. we have not found anything incriminating yet," he added.
Reddi further said that the police was doing an honest, transparent and professional investigation in the Church Street blast case.
"The raids that were conducted are based on concrete intelligence," he added.
Earlier, three Indian Mujahideen (IM) suspects were arrested by the Bangalore Police's crime branch from Bhatkal.
