A leader of Bangladesh Awami Jubo League was shot dead by unknown miscreants in Sutrapur area of Dhaka on Saturday.
Rajib Hasan, 38, was Jubo Dal's deputy finance secretary of Dhaka city south unit and a resident of Kajla in the capital's Demra area.
Officer-in-charge of Sutrapur Police Station, Tapan Kumar Saha said that Rajib went out of his home around 5:00p.m. local time on Friday and did not return, reports the Daily Star.
His bullet-hit body was later found by the locals near the Rokonpur road around 12:30 a.m. today.
His body was sent to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), however, the official could not immediately ascertain the reason behind the murder.
