Bangladesh-New Zealand Test series ends 0-0 after washout in second Test

The second Test match played between Bangladesh and New Zealand at Dhaka has ended in a draw after rain ruined proceedings of the last day, with the two-Test series having a 0-0 outcome.

Bangladesh had managed to fight their way back into the Test with an unbeaten century by youngster Mominul Haque, who put on a record partnership with Tamim Iqbal on Thursday.

The hosts reached 269-3 in their second innings at stumps on the fourth day, wiping out New Zealand's first innings advantage of 155 for an overall lead of 114 runs.

Mominul Haque was declared the Man of the Match as well as the Man of the Series for his inspired batting performance.

 

Haque made two centuries through the course of the series including a score of 181 in the first Test and an unbeaten 126 in the second.
