The Barmy Army are warming up their tonsils for Thursday's Adelaide Test and have laughed off talk Australia's Fanatics plan to take them on in the stands and on the Hill, according to reports.

According to News.com.au, The Fanatics say they boast new material for Adelaide, a revelation Burnham welcomed.

More than 2000 members of the Barmy Army have rolled into Adelaide over the past few days but, when expats are factored in, Burnham expects the numbers to swell to several thousand, the report said.

The Army's co-founder Paul Burham said that there's a competition going on out there in the middle but there is no competition in the terraces.

He says the groups will follow through on a promise to target David Warner and Michael Clarke, although the main focus will be to lift the flagging English morale, the report added.
