Maoist-hit Bastar district of Chhattisgarh has reported 30 percent voting despite some reports of violence.
Maoists are said to have opened fire on security forces close to ten polling stations, before escaping.
The rebels targeted polling booths in Korra and Amirgarh in Sukma District, Samoli and Thanikarka booths in Dantewada District, Nelnar booth of Narayanpur District, Padeli and Raigabodi in Kondagaon District.
Voting, which was suspended due to the firing, resumed later on.
Earlier, a patrolling squad of Border Security Force recovered 15 Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) weighing 10 kg each from Nelnar area of Narayanpur district.
Earlier, the third phase voting for the Lok Sabha elections started with as many as 1419 candidates contesting for 91 seats in 11 states.
Voting is underway in Chhattisgarh (1), Haryana (10), Jammu and Kashmir (1), Jharkhand (5), Kerala (20), Madhya Pradesh (9), Maharashtra (10), Odisha (10), Uttar Pradesh (10), Bihar (6), Delhi (7), Andaman and Nicobar Islands (1), Chandigarh (1) and Lakshadweep (1).
