German champions Bayern Munich has suffered a 3-0 defeat by compatriots Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga on Saturday at the Allianz Arena, and saw back-to-back defeats for the first time since November 2011.
The hosts, who have now lost both league games since being crowned German champions last month, were a shadow of the team who has dominated on the domestic and European stage this season.
According to the BBC, Pep Guardiola's side fell behind after Henrikh Mkhitaryan sent home early in the game, following by goals from Marco Reus and Jonas Hofmann, who found the net before Bayern's Rafinha was sent off in stoppage time after putting a hand in Mkhitaryan's face.
The report mentioned that the defeat completed a frustrating game for Bayern, who has been 1-0 behind in their last five competitive matches for the first time since 2001, although Dortmund is 17 points behind the champions with five games of the league season remaining.
