England coach Trevor Bayliss has urged his side to play proper cricketing shots to position themselves well in the upcoming World T20 to be played in India.

Earlier, England lost the two-match T20 series 0-2 at the hands of South Africa after suffering a nine-wicket defeat in the second match at the Wanderers.

The 53-year-old believes his side have to play more conventional cricketing shots rather than trying to strike the ball for fours and sixes all the time, Sport24 reported.

Talking about England's preparation, Bayliss admitted that his side had played some good cricket, but have to come up with better plans.

England will now travel to home before heading into the T20 pinnacle event. And Bayliss believes that the break would provide enough time for players to recover mentally as well as physically.

The ICC World T20 is slated to be held from March 8 to April 3, with England playing their opening match against West Indies on March 16.
