New South Wales cricket coach Trevor Bayliss is confident that David Warner would be a regular feature in Australia's batting line-up despite being axed from the one-day squad to play England.

According to news.com.au, Warner has made just two half-centuries in his last 12 ODI innings and was sent home to regain some form in the one-day format.

Bayliss admitted he was surprised by Warner's early return, but is pleased to have him available for the Ryobi Cup, which starts for the Blues on September 29, the report said.

He said that he had just been let know that Cricket Australia wants him to come and score plenty of runs in the Ryobi Cup.
