England coach Trevor Bayliss has urged fast bowler Steven Finn to use his World T20 disappointment as a spur to motivation for the upcoming home series against Sri Lanka and Pakistan.

The 27-year-old was ruled out of the recently concluded T20 format's pinnacle event after suffering from calf and side injuries.

Finn, however, had expressed his displeasure at being left out of the squad and said that the decision had been taken prematurely, Sport24 reported.

Regretting his statement, Finn accepted that he was wrong and uttered the words in disappointment of being dropped.

The fast bowler revealed that Bayliss asked him to use his frustration in a positive way by taking wickets in the forthcoming series, adding that it would be a perfect response to his World T20 omission.

Talking about the upcoming matches, Finn, a veteran of 29 Tests, 65 ODIs and 21 T20s, said that he is fully geared up to have a good summer ahead.

England will start their home internationals against Sri Lanka from a three-match Test series, starting from Thursday at Headingly Carnegie in Leeds.
