Former English footballer David Beckham has reportedly hinted that he might play for the Major League Soccer (MLS) team that he is trying to launch in Miami in order to resume his career.

The former England captain, who retired in May 2013 after a 20-year playing career that ended with a short spell at Paris Saint Germain, said that there has never been a player-owner but maybe there would be one now.

According to the BBC, Beckham admitted that he had a tough time after he retired as a player but added that he has gone through a stage of enjoying the rest and is tempted to come out of retirement.

The former Manchester United midfielder Beckham said that now when he goes to watch a basketball game and watches athletes play at the top of their game, it gives him that itch again and he wants to be back in the game and he starts thinking to himself if he could play again.
