Aam Aadmi Party leader Yogendra Yadav on Tuesday alleged that the BJP projected Kiran Bedi as its chief ministerial candidate for the Delhi polls when the party realised its chances in the elections were slipping away.
"Kiran Bedi's coming definitely hurt the BJP's prospects but she was brought in after the party realized that it was losing," said Yadav.
Yadav's comments come after an article in RSS mouthpiece 'Panchjanya' raised questions over BJP's choice of Kiran Bedi as its chief ministerial candidate in the recently concluded Delhi Assembly polls, which were swept by the AAP.
The article had also flayed the BJP for its 'arrogance', claiming that the party's leadership was too confident of a victory and ignored sentiments of party workers.
