Expressing disappointment with the behaviour of the opposition MPs in the Parliament, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan on Tuesday said such behaviour does not suit the elected members.
"Today, they were raising their hands in front of the Speaker as if the Speaker is to be blamed. People have to think what to do. At most I can suspend them like before, but does it suit elected members to behave in this way. Whatever is happening is not good," Mahajan told the media.
The Lok Sabha was adjourned several times as the agitating Congress members trooped into the well of the House shouting slogans against the government and displaying placards.
The Monsoon Session of Parliament has witnessed repeated disruptions with the opposition led by the Congress demanding the resignations of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje over the Lalit Modi row.
