Reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton has admitted that it is a 'worst thing' to be his teammates following his third world championship win at US Grand Prix.

Hamilton's remark came after his team-mate Nico Rosberg suffered second consecutive defeat in the Mercedes 'power unit' era and finished second in the race.

The 30-year-old said that he can absolutely understand as to why Rosberg threw a second-placed podium cap at him after the race.

Hamilton said that he had not taken it seriously as he understands Rosberg's disappointment.

Expressing his views on Hamilton's remark, Rosberg said that it's a good challenge for him to race against one of the best racers, adding that he doesn't want to change his teammate.

With his win, Hamilton became the first British driver to win back to back races and the first to win ten or more races in consecutive seasons.
