Australia skipper Michael Clarke has revealed that his career could be over after incurring yet another hamstring injury on the right leg during their 48 run dramatic win over India in the first Test at Adelaide Oval.
The skipper was seen clutching his right hamstring in the 44th over as he was accompanied by the team physio Alex Kountouris off the field and later went to hospital for scans.
Addressing a news conference, Clarke said that there was a chance he would never play again, adding that his scan results were not great on account of a tear to his right hamstring.
Ruling himself out of rest of the series, he said he was pretty sure that he wouldn't take any more part in the ongoing series against India, the BBC reported.
He further said that he had no regrets about returning to play after he retired hurt as it was the most important Test match of his career.
Earlier, the skipper suffered a back injury during his first innings score of 128.
