Belgium have topped the FIFA World rankings for the first time in history by surpassing world champions Germany by two points.
According to the latest rankings, Argentina slipped down to third ahead of Portugal, while Chile climbed up to the fifth place to reach their highest position, Sport24 reported.
Meanwhile, Spain finished sixth ahead of seventh-placed Colombia and eighth-placed Brazil, who have won the World Cup five times.
England also made slight progress by moving up to the ninth spot ahead of Austria.
