Belgium's friendly match against Spain has been called off due to increasing security concerns following deadly attacks in Paris.
Confirming the news, the Belgium Football Association revealed that after having conversation with the competent authorities and the Spanish national team, they have decided to cancel the match for the time being.
The Belgium FA further expressed their regret, saying that they completely understand the disappointment of fans, but added that players' security holds utmost importance.
According to the Guardian, the Ministry of the Interior's Crisis Centre had ordered the match to be cancelled.
Belgium, the world's number one team, was set to host the reigning European champions on Tuesday but the recent terrorist attacks in Paris forced cancellation of the match.
