England batsman Ian Bell has said that his team will continue to overwork Australian bowlers in the third Ashes Test at Old Trafford.

According to the Mirror, Australian fast bowler James Pattinson broke down with a back injury after two exhausting back-to-back Test matches, and England plans to do more of the same in Manchester and Durham.

The report further said that Pattinson had admitted that he could have done with more rest between bowling innings like England bowlers like James Anderson and Stuart Broad, who enjoyed nearly eight hours across three days to recover before bowling Australia out a second time.

Vowing to exhaust Australian bowlers again, Bell said that his side's bowlers can easily get 20 wickets on any surface if they are given enough time off, adding that it is important to have proper rest, a fact they realised in India.

The twin centurion further said that if bowlers have only been off the field for a couple of sessions then it is going to be that much harder for them, adding that it is important to have atleast a week of recovery as it is necessary for batsmen to bat long.

Stating that rest and time is necessary before batting to score big runs, Bell also said that with proper rest, he is confident that his teammates can take enough wickets for England, adding that it is a shame that Pattinson is injured as making a comeback is never easy with five back-to-back matches coming up.

According to Bell, the England bowlers would also have suffered the same fate as Pattinson if they had been getting into their third and fourth spells in a back-to-back game, which is physically very hard work.

Meanwhile, Bell said that he is looking forward to heading back to Old Trafford next week, a ground that he has done exceptionally well on, even in 2005 with twin fifties during an otherwise meagre series for him.
