Pakistan's Foreign Office on Thursday claimed that regional peace and security could be compromised both in the short and long term by India's belligerence.
Addressing media here, Foreign Office spokesperson Nafees Zakaria charged Indian troops with frequently violating the ceasefire on the Line of Control and the International Boundary.
Pakistan Radio quoted him, as saying that India has violated the ceasefire arrangement on 542 occasions this year in which eighteen civilians had died.
He said the world community and the United Nations have also expressed concern over the situation on the border between the two nations, and added that Pakistan believes in the resolution of all issues through dialogue.
He said Pakistan is considering India's request for the grant of visa to the mother of Kulbushan Yadav.
Zakaria said Pakistan believes that there is no military solution to Afghan issue, only a politically negotiated settlement which is Afghan led and Afghan owned.
