Benedict Cumberbatch's drama teacher at Harrow public school claimed that his privileged background hindered his acting ambitions.
Martin Tyrell, who first spotted actor's star quality as a 13-year-old, said Cumberbatch was held back by his education, since it limited the range of potential roles he could expect to play, the Independent reported.
They are being limited from playing certain parts by critics and audiences as a result of what their parents did for them at the age of 13 and that seemed very unfair to him, he further added.
Tyrell also mentioned that even as a 13-year old, Cumberbatch was obviously an outstanding actor, a combination of intuition and intellect and it's probably once in a lifetime to find a boy actor as magnificent as him.
