Bengaluru to host second edition of Embedded Safety and Security Summit from today

The second edition of the two-day Embedded Safety and Security Summit (ESSS) was inaugurated by Dr. C.G. Krishnadas Nair, SIATI Chairman, Chancellor-Jain University, Ex-Chairman HAL on June 8, 2016 and will run until June 9, 2016 at the NIMHANS Convention Centre, Bengaluru.

ESSS 2016 is an initiative driven by LDRA and partners, with support from our clients, industry and professional bodies, and government agencies. ESSS is part of a larger LDRA industry initiative - CEDP (Certification Ecosystem Development Programme) which includes various other activities aimed at developing a world-class product certification ecosystem in India.

With a theme this year of, 'Inspiring Safe and Secure Designs', there are thought provoking keynote speakers sharing insights on subjects such as, 'Information Security Technology as a Strategic Asset', 'We are not Safe without Security' and 'Blurred Lines? Security, Reliability and Safety Critical Systems'. Altogether there are five tracks spread over two days covering diverse topics relating to Aerospace and Defence, Automotive, Medical, Embedded Systems Security and Energy.

 

The event has also witnessed the launch of the Indian adaptation of LDRA Certification Services (LCS) - a global practice, and the LDRA Competency Centre (LCC) offering consultancy and verification and validation services with support from our technical partners and local service provider.

Ian Hennell, Operations Director, LDRA - UK said, "In the Indian market, customers need assistance from the early stage of the project which will help them in accelerating the certification process. Hence, we have customised the LDRA Certification Services (LCS) practice to the needs of the Indian market. We, and our partners, will be working with our clients in all project phases - Design and Development, Verification and Validation, and Certification. "

Pradeep Oak, Founder Director and CEO, Oak Systems Pvt. Ltd said, "With over 18 years of experience, we have been working with Indian and global clients on testing requirements. In the last couple of years, we have worked with several customers of LDRA with respect to testing and certification services. LDRA Competency Centre (LCC), being a part of Oak Systems, will aid us to work closely with the global team of LDRA Certification Services (LCS). This combined offering will add value to customers to meet their end user requirement in a much more efficient way.
