Moroccan-born exotic dancer Karima El-Mahroug has told a court that she lied to investigators about erotic parties being held at Silvio Berlusconi's villa while he was still in the PM office in 2010.
On Friday, she testified as a witness at the trial of three former Berlusconi aides, TV presenter Emilio Fede, celebrity agent Lele Mora and Nicole Minetti, a local councillor and former showgirl, who have been accused of providing prostitutes for "bunga-bunga" parties.
El-Mahroug, who goes by the name of "Ruby the Heart Stealer," said that she made up details about receiving 187,000 Euros from Berlusconi to attend his parties, asserting that she "made up" the sum to show off, the BBC reported.
She also went back on her testimony that young women had bathed in nude at Berlusconi's residence, saying that they were in their lingerie and there had been "no contact" with Berlusconi.
El-Mahroug is believed to have been a minor when she allegedly had paid sex with Berlusconi.
