Despite talks of Lewis Hamilton trying to patch up with ex-girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger, the Mercedes driver has said that he is actually in love with his car and believes he can win all nine remaining races.

According to the Mirror, after roaring to victory in Hungary for the first time since switching from McLaren, the 28-year-old admitted he is besotted with his race machine.

Hamilton said the car is so good it ranked alongside the one he won the world title with in 2008 and the only problem was with the tyres, adding that last year he did not feel like he had the car to win ten races but his year he did.

The driver said that it did not feel like a relief when he came across the line but just felt good to know that he could still do it, and if the team continued with that qualifying pace, it could get up front.

The result means game on for the championship with Hamilton now fourth, 48 points behind leader Vettel, the report said.

However, the German has four wins to his one in the first 10 races so he faces a stiff uphill struggle in the remaining nine when F1 returns from the summer break, the report added.
