The Delhi Catholic Archdiocese on Tuesday said Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat suffers from a 'mental block' over the issue of conversion.
"All I can say is that Mohan Bhagwat and others suffer from some kind of mental block and that block is there with the issue of conversion. They cannot think of anything beyond the topic of conversion, particularly because they do not know what is the meaning of doing selfless service as the poor mean nothing to them," said Father Dominic of the Delhi Catholic Archdiocese.
"They do not understand what selfless love means as they themselves do not serve without any motive. They can't understand why someone would work selflessly. What they need is to get rid of their mindset which is only rotating around conversion, as if there is nothing but conversion in this world," he added.
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat had on Monday reportedly said the sole objective of Mother Teresa's service to the poor was to convert people to Christianity, leading to outrage from various quarters.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had slammed his statements today saying a noble soul like Mother Teresa must be spared of such an accusation.
The RSS, however, maintained that the media was wrongly interpreting Bhagwat's statement.
