Bhopal Mayor Alok Sharma has assured adequate help to Indian Junior Hockey team goalkeeper Khushboo Khan who sought government aid to build a toilet at her residence.

The toilet at Khan's house was allegedly demolished one-and-a-half-years ago during an encroachment drive carried out by the Veterinary Hospital Management.

She then requested Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for a lavatory to be made at her home.

Sharma told ANI, "Bhopal is known as the 'nursery of hockey' and no injustice will be meted out to any hockey player in the state."

He added, "We found that they were living in slum. I met her and her family yesterday and have asked them to see two of our vacant staff houses. We will allot the house to her if she likes it."

Earlier, Khushboo complained, "They (veterinary hospital management, which owns the land) broke the lavatory during their construction work. They assured that they would build us another toilet but did nothing. I have faith that Mamaji (Chouhan) would do something for me, I request him to avail facilities for my family.
