Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Udit Raj on Tuesday said Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav challenged the authority of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Chief Arvind Kejriwal and his close friends and had to suffer because of that.

"According to my information, Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav questioned the Supremo, they challenged the authority of Arvind Kejriwal and his close friends and had to suffer because of that," Udit Raj told ANI here.

"What happened to AAP claims of taking decision in public? People were disappointed and frustrated with AAP because of their false promises," he added.

Raj further asserted that Kejriwal was waiting for the right time after the election to remove them from the Political Affairs Committee (PAC).

Earlier this week, AAP said that Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav were working to ensure the party's defeat in the recently held assembly elections in Delhi, and therefore, this was justification enough to expel them from the PAC.

The decision to remove Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav from the PAC was taken on March 4 by the AAP's national executive.
