Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay on Thursday called on Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.

During the meeting, the two leaders held discussions relating to mutual interests of both nations.

Earlier this week, Prime Minister Tobgay, on a visit to the Amul Dairy in Anand, had paid homage to the Father of Milk Revolution Dr. Verghese Kurien.

"I have heard so much about Amul, I have grown up experiencing Amul. I am delighted to be here to pay my respect to the spirit of Sardar Vallabhai Patel and Dr. Kurien," he had told the media.

After taking oath, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chose to travel to Bhutan as his first foreign trip as part of his assertive foreign policy in order to promote trade and investment. His counterpart Tobgay had said that he felt very humbled and honoured by Prime Minister Modi's decision to visit his country.
